This session on “HR Consulting” would provide the members a hands-on, practitioner’s overview of HR consulting. It would also touch upon HR consulting frameworks, skills / competencies required in a consulting role / career and role of HR practitioners as internal consultants within the organization. As has been the practice, whenever possible, we have believed in bringing to members more than one perspective on any theme. In this spirit, we have invited two esteemed speakers for this interactive session, who have rich consulting experience.

Sabitha Rao is a management graduate from the Indian Institute of Management in Calcutta (IIM) where she qualified in 1980. She has over 30 years of experience and has been with Cerebrus for about 13 years. Prior to joining Cerebrus Consultants she has worked with Citibank, A F Ferguson and American President lines. She is an expert in HR management who has worked on all areas of HR from strategy to implementation, and has executed HR assignments in India, Sri Lanka, Africa, Laos PDR. She has handled a diverse client base ranging from family managed organisations, multinationals and international aid organisations like the World Bank, UNICEF. She is certified as a Trainer in Behavioural Interviewing. Her training areas include Performance Management, Individual Development Planning, Change Management at the individual and organizational level and Team Building. She has also been trained in the 7 step Quality Process including Daily Process Management and was involved with the regional team in Re-engineering of processes.

Rajiv Krishnan is responsible for the Human Capital business Mercer in India.He started his career in 1984 at one of India’s largest engineering and automotive companies, Escorts Limited, in the Industrial Equipment Division, where he handled project marketing and execution of diesel-based power plants.He joined Foi Management Consultants Ltd (now part of the Randstad Group) in 1997 after a break where he pursued interests in the non-corporatel sector. At the time he left in 2006 after a decade in Ma Foi, businesses that he built accounted for 60% of the turnover of the company. His last responsibility was as the CEO of Ma Foi’s Consulting and Outsourcing businesses. In 2006, Rajiv Krishnan was hired to set up DDI’s India operations as the Managing Director and Country Head. A well-known name in Talent Management and Leadership Training, he closely consults with clients and plays a leading role in many assignments. Rajiv is an honours graduate in mechanical engineering from NIT Tiruchirapalli and a PGDBM from XLRI, Jamshedpur.
