Mr. Udai Pareek - What a big loss to HR field... I interacted with him 4 years ago and still treasure his Business Card with pride. If at all there is something called asset of the country, it is people like him. His contribution to HR filed by influence of thoughts personally and books written by him will remain forever. May his soul rest in peace.

The death of Prof. Uday Parikh is an irrepairable loss to HR profession as he ,along with Dr.TV Rao founded and developed the profession to what it is today. We should hold a special meeting in his memory.

It is indeed very sad to know about Dr Uday Pareek' s demise.
My association with him goes back in seventies when the HR movement had just began in India.
Subsequently he was one of the biggest contributor to the HR profession till now.
The conceptual clarity , vision for HR as a profession , passion to educate Hr professionals for better India were some of the qualities I observe in him.
I pray for his soul to rest in peace - on behalf of the Baroda Chapter of NHRD and HR fraternity.

Thanks & Regards,

Bharat Mehta

Thanks for the visit and for the photos
It was indeed a memorable day, and the rain gods added lot of charm to it.
The arrangements and coordination were excellent, as usual.
Special thanks to the SGGI HR team for the excellent hospitality, even to the extent of holding Umbrellas, so that we do not get wet in the rain.

It was a very well organised trip to the factory. Thanks a lot for the efforts and pain taken in organising the visit.
A very interesting, informative & educative visit.
I am sure most would agree that we all stood to benefit from this Factory visit - a professionally enriching experience.
The Saint Gobain officials were open-minded and the interactions were frank and fruitful. Pl do convey our sincere thanks to them.
A visit that would remain in our memory for long....

With exuberant of joy I would like to take this opportunity to thank NHRDN-Chennai Chapter for organizing a wonderful trip to Saint Gobain on 14th November'09. It was extremely useful and in particular being a HR professional it paved a way for learning new concepts and methodology and excellent to note their execution of HR practices (i.e HR excellence) and HR framework.

Kudos to organizers!!

Roy - May his soul rest in peace

Lakshminarayanan K.V 23/Sep/2009 2035 0

Hello Colleagues

The news of murder of Roy came as a rude shock in the morning.

Roy, apart from being batch and room mate in my IIM course was also a close friend for me

Roy was a man of forthright views and had his "own" assertive personality and never hesitated to express his opinion to anyone. He was not the one to budge for diplomacy or organisational pressures. May be it cost him too dear.

It is tragic that we are living in a society and age of increasing politicisation and criminalisation where divergent views are sought to be dealt with crime and violence rather than consensus and dialogue - in this land which always worshipped peace - where Gandhi & Buddha was born

May his sould rest in peace and may God give courage and fortitude to his family to live through this loss

Fabulous talk by Mr Allen Sequeira

Uma Maheswari 15/Sep/2009 2096 0

Hi HR folks,

Mr. Allen Sequeira's talks on "Talent transformation" was very insightful and lively - including the tips he gave on updating oneself by reading lots of HR books, visiting B schools to exchange concepts etc

I am sure it would have added lot of value to all of you who were present!

I am hoping that the NHRD organisers would do something about the technical snag that was hindering the session in the beginning.

Keep up the good work!

Regards,
Uma
